We are

Because One Matters exists to serve, love, and equip children and youth impacted by foster care, kinship care, and adoption. From providing essentials and life-skills training to creating joyful experiences that celebrate and uplift, we help ensure every child and young adult feels seen, valued, and supported. Every moment of care — whether meeting a need or creating a memory — reminds them they matter, and their future is full of promise.

Through our Clothing Boutique, milestone celebrations, holiday gatherings, and life-skills experiences, we create moments that remind children and youth impacted by foster care that they matter. Each encounter is designed to build confidence, foster belonging, and spark hope for a brighter future — one filled with love, dignity, and opportunity.

Our

Founder's Story

Because One Matters was born from a deeply personal place: the loss of our Founder & CEO’s daughter to SIDS and a clear calling from God to turn heartbreak into purpose.

What began as one woman’s act of faith has grown into a powerful movement of compassion and transformation, touching the lives of children and young adults across six Georgia counties.

Through our Clothing Boutique, Lifeskills Camp, milestone celebrations, Back-to-School Extravaganza, and Home for the Holidays dinners, we provide more than resources. We create spaces where children feel seen, valued, and loved.

We believe true change comes from transformation, not transactions. That’s why our work goes beyond meeting immediate needs. We help children and youth build confidence, develop life skills, and experience the dignity of being cared for with compassion.

I have no idea where God is leading me with this journey, but I am ready and willing to follow His lead. Stay tune; I don’t think GOD is done with ME yet!
